Furthr has had the great privilege of supporting Ireland’s ambitious entrepreneurs for over three decades. Furthr are proud to have been recognised as one of Europe’s Leading Start-Up Hubs 2024, as per a research report carried out and published by the Financial Times, along with its research partner Statista and FT sister publication, Sifted.
The Special report launched as an inaugural edition is an attempt by the Financial Times to capture the scattered network of incubators and accelerators that has been booming across Europe – a model opposite to what’s seen in the US. The list is a compilation of offshoots of established universities, to corporate incubators, to fully commercial accelerators.
Furthr (ranked 74) is among the only three start-up hubs that were featured from the island of Ireland (NovaUCD) and Northern Ireland (Catalyst) in the list.
Furthr, over the past 35 years, has supported over 6,000 Irish Startups and facilitated over €200M in seed investment through its venture capital funds and the creation and management of angel investor networks in Ireland. Furthr are dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs to start and scale new businesses and continuously strives to ensure we are providing the support our founders need.
Stephanie Bell, Head of Marketing comments “Furthr are relentlessly dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs to start and scale new businesses and continuously strive to ensure we provide the support our founders need. Sharing the European stage among this wonderful list of 125 organisations across 21 countries is something the team here at Furthr are extremely proud of. A huge thanks to all our wonderful founders who supported us in winning this prestigious accolade- none of which would be possible without our wonderful home and colleagues in The Guinness Enterprise Centre. #GoFurthr”
The list was published based on survey responses from alumni, track record analysis, and recommendation analysis from start-up investors and seasoned entrepreneurs.
