Founder and CEO: Vincent Forde
Vincent Forde is the founder and CEO of Gasgon Medical, an award-winning start-up medical device company based in Cork, Ireland. Gasgon Medical develops innovative fluid management products for the clinical market.
Gasgon Medical first came to the attention of Furthr VC in 2021 when they made their pitch at a start-up conference. Spotting an opportunity, Richard Watson, Managing Partner at Furthr VC, expressed an interest in investment. In November 2021, Gasgon Medical was named the overall winner at the 2021 InterTradeIreland Seedcorn competition, and received a €100,000 cash prize. The next month, Gasgon Medical received a €3m Fast Track to Innovation grant from the European Innovation Council. In April 2022, Gasgon Medical raised €2.25m in seed funding to accelerate growth and bring its IV safety unit device to market. The company’s first funding was led by Furthr VC.
Since then, Gasgon Medical has signed trials with hospitals across Europe, including Spain and Portugal, as well as a Swedish veterinary hospital. Today, Gasgon Medical continues in its mission to improve healthcare performance and help deliver better patient outcomes.
